Silence

,
Spiders fly from faraway willows
just to tell me how slightly the wind blows

Ants crawl across distant oceans
just to ask me about my notions

Butterflies cry when they see my face
for their remorse is so, that they missed my embrace

Raccoons tear themselves from their feasts
just to tell me they dislike me the least

Birds Bow their heads in my sorrow
and offer their shoulders, that I might borrow

Bears stumble from their midwinter dens
just to give me regards that their families send

opossums do a dance when in dread
just to keep me from drooping my head

all of the creatures come to mourn
for the silent beauty alone in this bed
